Boundary-breaking co-operation, innovative designTwo companies with front edge competence have joined in a unique project, aiming to change our view on products and how we use them. The project is called Relight>Relate, and consists of a number of outdoor lighting products – and they are… almost alive. World premiere takes place at the Nordic Light Hotel during the Stockholm Design Week, 3-8 February 2009 in Stockholm. The concept is the outcome of a new cooperation model by Semcon Design and FutureLab, where the next step is to invite leading material developers, innovators and producers as a third party, to create objects that were never seen before. What is Relight>Relate? > A design project where Semcon Design and FutureLab want to inspire to a whole new kind of relation between humans and objects. Do we really care about our products? Do they care about us? And if so, would we appreciate and value them more? > A design project which adds new elements to product and interior design, and place greater emphasis on qualities rarely used before; behaviour, personality and interactivity. Who is behind Relight>Relate> The Global Design consultancy Semcon Design, with business at 40 sites on three continents. The Group is active in product development and technical information and is organised into three business areas: Automotive R&D, Design & Development and Informatic.
